I am a trained and certified mediator who will facilitate and assist you in creating a financial settlement as well as assisting you with issues regarding children, if any. I will provide both of you with a list of divorce related topics that you both may discuss prior to our initial meeting in order to reduce your costs. Your discussions around these topics will form the basis of your divorce and property settlement agreement.
Of course, you may contact me via phone (781-236-2082) or email DivorceLaw@MDMG.net with your questions about getting started.

Professional Development
I believe it is important to continue to keep abreast of current divorce law.
Recently, new child support guidelines were issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I have read and understand these new guidelines and can explain to you how they might affect you and your children.
You may also have heard that the alimony laws have changed as a result of the Alimony Reform Act, effective March 1, 2012. I have personally attended the MCLE panel discussions wherein the Judges have explained in detail the provisions of this new law. I also took part in the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) “webinar” discussion, which again explained the Alimony Reform Act. Because of this training, I thoroughly understand and can clearly explain to you how this new law may affect you and your spouse.
I was also a guest panelist at the University of Massachusetts School of Law for a seminar entitled “Alternative Careers in the Legal Profession”. This was a seminar for both law students and legal professionals.
Service to Others
I have performed volunteer legal work for Legal Services of Cape Cod and the Islands in Plymouth, Massachusetts as part of their Battered Women’s Legal Assistance Project.
